NEW YORK NEW YORK

after returning to tackle the end of the university year, it feels like the magic of september in new york occurred
eons ago. these photographs were taking on my last day, on an incredible rooftop in chelsea.

so many cinematic stories from this trip! a stranger donating his own umbrella in the pouring rain, fresh friends
found in strange places and stranger scenarios, stumbling around brooklyn on rollerskates, buying religious
holograms from a bodega in the middle of the night, meeting the newborns of new friends (i'm looking at you,
frankie baby), having firemen buy us pancakes, being woefully swindled by a ticket scalper..

i asked sam nixon to take some press shots for WATERCOLOURS and he took us (me, the newly arrived
katherine and her friend whose name evades me right now) to the summit of an incredibly lofty building from
which you could see the water and the city all in one eyeful. quite the love letter, nyc.
